15hp Force Gamefisher outboard Boat Motor running on 14′ Crestliner

1976 Sears Game Fisher 12 ft boat mirror force?

I have a 12 "fiberglass Sears Game Fisher boat in 1976. I just bought a 9.8 HP Mercury engine and I I can get involved too powerful for the mirror and allows the boat to break. The record of the manufacturer states that the boat can take a 14 hp engine. Has anyone ever heard a 10 HP motor to break the back of a boat, much less one like mine? I ask only because the fiber does not look too thick and does not flex when I push down somewhat heavy on the lower unit of the Mercury when it is attached. I do not want the boat and engine to end at the bottom of the lake the first time I try some out. The back-end the boat is not straight. It angles slightly outward symbol like this (and the point in the middle is actually a built up / flat part that rides on the motor. It does not allow a flat piece of wood to the place equal to the width of the trasnom be either inside or outside.

You do not have power, you need good, keep that going PFD at all times!
