Tohatsu Outboard question?

I have a Tohatsu 25hp outboard motor on my boat. Recently I was driving in the delta and hit a log, so my engine kinda jump up. Now my engine just shift past first gear. I have not changed the oil in a while (do not know if there is a correlation) Thanks, Gee

Just get a mechanic to take the leg off, he will quickly tell what's going on down there.
